The Process

Consultancy

Dream of a stunning new garden?  Our expert consultants can help you bring your vision to life. Whether you’re starting from scratch with a new build, modernising your existing space, or simply want to make the most of your outdoor area, we offer personalised guidance.

We specialise in creating functional and beautiful gardens, including features like play areas, vegetable patches, and expanded entertaining spaces. We can even assist with planning applications. This service is perfect for projects with a construction budget of £20,000 or more.

1. 30-60 minute DESIGN Consultancy Visit:
  • We’ll listen carefully to your goals and aspirations for your garden.
  • We’ll explain the design process and how we work.
  • We’ll take measurements and photographs of relevant areas, as needed, to inform our recommendations
Following Your Visit:

Within 7 days of your consultation, we’ll provide a clear and detailed breakdown of all associated design fees. We’ll then arrange a convenient time to visit your garden to conduct a design survey, take necessary photos, and begin work on your personalized design.

Our concept plans start at £1,520 and each subsequent design stage is priced at £760 for a full day or £380 for a half day. As a thank you for your consultation, you’ll receive 10% off your total design fee. Should you choose us to build your dream garden, you’ll also benefit from a further 10% discount on all plants included in the planting design.

Consultancy Fees

The Garden Design consultancy fee is £75 if you live within a 15 mile radius of our office, additional fees apply outside this area.

Design

Transforming your garden, whether a small section or the entire space, benefits from expert design. Our process, tailored to each client, typically involves these key phases following the design consultancy visit:

2. The Brief

You’ll complete a simple questionnaire outlining your requirements, preferences, and budget, which we’ll use as a starting point for discussion and idea development. This ensures that a comprehensive brief is agreed before any design takes place.

3. Site Survey/Analysis

Site Survey/Analysis: We’ll survey your site to record existing features and conditions, and identify any planning requirements. This may be a simple measurement survey by your designer or a full topographical survey depending on the project.

4. Concept/outline design

Concept/Outline Design: We’ll create a 2D scaled drawing (and potentially mood boards or 3D views) of the proposed layout, highlighting hardscaping, lawns, planting, and other features. We’ll then meet to discuss and refine the ideas. Click to view Example Concept Plan.

5. Master Plan

Based on your feedback, we’ll develop a detailed master plan, enabling accurate construction cost estimates. Click to view example Master Plan.

7. EXPERT Planting plans

8. DETAILED CONSTRUCTION GUIDANCE

We provide precise construction drawings for any special features, lighting, or irrigation systems.

Utilising our build team includes project management at no additional cost. This ensures your garden is built efficiently and to the highest standards.

Design Fees
