What makes a garden award winning?
We have been designing, building, planting and maintaining beautiful gardens for over thirty years. During this time we have received various national awards for our plants and gardens, these include Gold Medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. But what makes a garden award winning?
Here are the key things we believe a garden has to have to win an award:
- Personality and “wow” factor
- Technically superior workmanship
- A unique and thought-provoking design
- It needs to meet the clients brief and exceed expectations
- Functionality and style
- Most importantly, it needs to be a garden that is a joy to use
What’s the story?
In our experience, an award-winning garden often has a story behind it. Something of interest that sets it apart from gardens built from a purely design standpoint. The story may be the uniqueness of the build, our relationship and history with the client and the significance of the location to the client, to name but a few.
